Title: Pickled Grape Relish with Ginger and Chiles

Yield: 1 Quart
1 1/2 | c | Distilled white vinegar |
1/2 | c | Light brown sugar |
1/4 | c | Granulated sugar |
2 | tb | Coriander seeds; crushed |
2 | Cinnamon sticks -OR- | |
1 | tb | Ground cinnamon |
7 | Whole cloves | |
1 | ts | Salt |
2 | Inch piece peeled fresh gingerroot; sliced very thin | |
2 | Red or green unseeded jalapeno peppers; sliced thin | |
3 | c | Mixed red & green grapes |
In a large saucepan over medium heat, bring to boil: vinegar, sugars, coriander, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Remove from heat; mix in gingerroot, jalapenos, and grapes. Soak 1 hour or longer and serve with roasted or grilled poultry or pork.
