18 | oz | Can sweet potatoes or yams, drained |
1/4 | c | Firmly packed brown sugar |
2 | tb | Butter or margarine |
2 | tb | Dry sherry |
Preheat broiler. Place potatoes in small pan with sides for broiling. In a
small saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar. Heat, stirring
occasionally, until butter is melted. Pour sugar mixture over potatoes.
Drizzle with sherry. Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat for 5 to 8 minutes until
potatoes are heated through and lightly browned on top. Spoon syrup mixture
over potatoes to serve.
