Title: Bramborova Polevka Zasmazena (Creamed Potato Soup)

Yield: 4 Servings

1 1/4lbPotatoes, peeled, cubed
1/2cOnion, chopped
3ozRoot vegetables, chopped
1/3cShortening
1/3cFlour
6cWater
3ozMushrooms, fresh
  : Salt
1 Garlic clove, crushed
1pnMarjoram
  : Parsley, chopped

Fry root vegetables in the shortening. Sprinkle with flour and fry until golden brown. Cover with cold water, stir well. Add mushrooms and potatoes, boil for about 20 minutes. Finally, add garlic, salt, marjoram and reheat. Flavor with chopped parsley as needed.
